I knew I had been putting off designing a heat shield for the back boxes, so I decided to do it, and had the rear scuttle off as I needed also to check the fuel sender float. I noticed on the rear face of the tank a slight moist area, which turned out to be a micro hole leak...less than a pin head.I took the tank out to be welded...and to my surprise was told it had occured along the vertical weld of the inner baffles...sure enough, two vertical welds are there for two inner baffles, which are present!So good to know as I removed the swirk pot from my system.....my tank may be 6 years old, so must have been a one-off.

My tank is exactly the same and both welds were leaking on my tank which had to be rewelded.

Same, 3 holes - its the one thing that I think the factory should really do.
