SVA Re-Testing?

8 Aug 2005, 11:24am
I'm building a Marlin Sportster with an engine from a BMW E30 325i. If for whatever reason this engine were to stop working after the car passes its intial SVA and I chose to put something else in there (ie a BMW big block six from a different model or a Rover V8) would this nessecitate an SVA re-test?

I have seen this discussed elsewhere.

The general concencous was all that is required is to inform DVLA of the new engine details.

Mark :eusa_angel: is spot-on !

The SVA is once only. After your car is registered you can do what the £v<*> you want to it :eusa_pray: without it ever going back to an SVA test centre  .

Just give Swansea details of the new engine size and number.
