Most of what I have done to date has been simple disaster recover of what I bought. I am at the point now where there only seem to be a few headline tasks left.
1) I have no electrics which will require a new loom and battery. The fuel pump will be handy at this point to.
2) I need the fuel sender unit for the tank and the tube to get to the engine. See point 1 about the fuel pump but I guess filters are added at this point. This should give me an engine with the water works all connected, the electrics all connected and fuel flowing in. I am sure it will fire up without a problem. ;-)
3) Pedal box and brakes. At the moment there are three pedals fixed to the remaining body shell but they are bent when you press them and not connected to any kind of servo unit. What looks like the pedal box should have been connected to was resting in a cardboard box with the radiator when I bought it. I guess this means new pedal box, servo unit and brake pipes to all four wheels.
4) Body work. This is what makes it all worth while. I just stick the body on and the car is ready...
... Well maybe not but that is as far ahead as I can think at the moment.
Can anyone check my list of tasks and see if I have missed anything major please.
1) Chassis de-rusted, welded, painted. - Tick
2) Suspension worn parts and bushings replaced - Tick
3) Engine checked and replaceables replaced - Tick
3.5) Deposit of body to Gary
4) Wiring loom fitted - To Do
5) Fuel system installed - To Do
6) Engine fired up - To Do
7) Pedal box fitted - To Do
8) Brake piping fitted - To Do
9) Drive up and down the drive sat on the chassis giggling - To Do
9.5) Rest of payment to Gary
10) Fit body and enter the next stage of planning
