Will be putting this on Ebay , but thought I would try it here first - would rather it helped a Sammio builder out if it can.

SAMMIO TRAILER

When I started the project , I put this little trailer together.
It started life as a Caravan. A friend bought the van for the interior to put in his camper conversion. It was a very tidy caravan and the running gear , brakes etc are excellent. Very good tyres and a very good spare as well.
I built the trailer in an older style to suit the cars...ie low side rails , skirted mudguards etc..few period stickers etc. I didn't realise just how much I would use the trailer - its taken 66 everywhere in the last year , I have picked up donor Heralds , moved chassis , bodies , kits etc....
The only reason I am moving her on is because we have a bigger trailer now to accomadate the wider G-46 and 550 projects as well.....This trailer was built to accept a Herald / Sammio quite snugly and won't cope with the larger stuff...we haven't room to store 2 trailers otherwise she would stay...
It does need a slight repair to the front , I will do this....and the electric winch works when you by-pass the relay , but it gets hot , so a new relay would be best....the winch has a seperate lead allowing you to walk alongside the car as you load.
Picture below - only difference now is red oxide mudguards...£175
I see you are selling because you need space, could you keep for the time it takes to prepare me a Sammio? if I pay for it and a deposit for my kit then I could do a one way trailer trip with the body loaded on?
Would benefit me greatly as I am Norfolk based and will need to hire a trailer to collect.
Please let me know if this is an option.

Hi,
I have sent you an email .....basically , thats ok. THANK YOU.
I can keep the trailer at home for a bit...we are quoting 4 weeks at present , so I guess thats the time span we are talking about...
Now the inspection is out of the way I no longer need the trailer, It served me well picking up the body from Poole and the inspection today. Not looking for profit and will sell to any Sammio Enthusiast for £175, its cheaper than hiring a trailer for a couple of turns...
If no takers It will go on Ebay but would rather keep it in the family..
You may recognise it as the original Sammio Trailer from Gary..
If anyone close to London is considering buying this, I'd happily rent it from you for my body inspection which would provide some money towards the cost.
Unfortunately I just do not have any room to store the trailer or I'd buy it myself.
Good that it's found a home here. Due to the narrowness and condition of my access road I doubt I could have got it round to the workshop behind a car.
