Cheers Steve. At the beginning, my aim has been 323BHP due to that's the standard BHP for an M3. Nice figure to aim for.
But since the conversion and shake down, the first task is the 300 barrier. Making sure all the air let temps etc are stable. As it happens, the chargecooler is not working very well. So that's my next project is to sort that out. Then up the boost a little from 19 PSI to 22. Not sure if it that increase will achieve the 323 figure. And still in the safety range of the engine.
Had an interesting night down at track n road. See this Ford Ka with a VW 1.8T in there. Had a huuuugge GT3.. something turbo, 630cc injectors, high flow mani and forged engine. Not mapped I don't think yet as it only made 270 on the rollers.
John the engine install looks well mounted - not much movement, unlike the Rover which tried to leap out! Looks like you've welded in the rear brace now too, which must have improved the back end rigidity.
