Kit car insurance for young'uns

Hi there,
My dad and I are currently rebuilding an Allora Stratos Replica, and I was wondering if any of you lot out there have your sons insured on your cars as a second driver? This car's fitted with a 3.0V6 engine.

Better still, is there anyone out there of my age (19) with a kit car that they've managed to insure?

Best thing to do is ring round all the insurance companies that advertise in the kit car mags, stick it on a limit mileage policy and it should reduce your premium considerably
