On the 17-20 September 2005, the Guild of Motor Endurance are running their 2005 Sportscar Challenge. It's a 2000km Reliability Trial from Reims to Monte-Carlo and back, consentrating mainly on the demanding roads of the French Alps. The entry fee is £395 per person and includes four nights in hotels.

At 8am on the morning of Saturday September 17th sportscars will start departing from Reims at one minute intervals on the first leg towards the France Alps. Those who have competed on endurance rallies in the past will know what is in store for them. Those that are new to endurance should know these are tough events for sportscars, and not just a tour.
The four day 2000 kilometre Monte-Carlo 2005 will concentrate mostly on the mountain roads of the French Alps. The route to Monte Carlo and back will include many of the spectacular high altitude roads where even low average speeds are difficult to maintain.
Eligible cars: Sportscars and three wheelers. Specials: Non-production sportscars built as a one off, Historic low volume sportscars and Specials. Hand built sportscars: Sportscars supplied by a manufacturer in component form for self-assembly. Classic sportscars. Cars such as AC, Daimler Dart, Marcos, Panther, Renault Alpine & Scimitar. Production handbuilt sportscars: Sportscars presently supplied by a manufacturer. Cars such as TVR, Lotus, Vauxhall VX220, Smart Roadster & Morgan.
Previous rallies include: 1997 to Morocco, 1999 Targa Florio in Sicily, 2001 Corsica, 2002 Florence and 2004 nine days in Morocco. Guild of Motor Endurance events are for handbuilt sportscars and all the following cars have competed on past events:
Westfield (winner 1997), Ginetta (winner 1998), Marlin (winner 1999), Robin Hood (winner 2000), Caterham (winner 2001 & 2002) & Lotus (winner 2004).

The entry fee for the Monte-Carlo 2005 Sportscar Challenge is £395 per person. This includes four nights at hotels in Montmelian, Nice, Aix les Bains and Reims.
