I was just wondering if anyone can answer this question. For $5,000 a 20yr old kid can buy a car that will last him atleast 5 years, if he knows about cars which I do. Now say I wanted a kit car, would you suggest this as an everyday car for up to 60,000 miles or more? I was just wondering if anyone knew some facts and I could talk to someone who owns a kit car? I saw on ebay for around 5 grand I could buy a kit car. Used of course and assembled.

Depends. I built a Spartan Treka many years ago, used it every day and got 100k miles in 12 years out of it before it rusted away.
If you puy a pile of poo you'll get much less, but then that is true for non-kit cars too
on ebay they have 1929 replica mercedes from the 80s that was permitted by the state. do you think for 5 grand that if i kept it up clean rust, replacement parts, ect that i could keep it running for 5 yrs it already has 1800miles on it.
You will need to give the chassis a really good inspection for rust. If the donor car is not unusual then most of the replacement parts you may require should be easy to obtain.

I am interested in getting an mr2 to get a ferrari style. I know for the next ten years parts will be common for this but i need to know if the body kit is for the mr2 spyder or just the older mr2 i havent been able to search for kits by car type and get a model with a def yes for the mr2 spyder
