When you have to IVA and when not...

Does anyone know the current rules for when you need an IVA test and when you don't? I seem to remember that if you used the original chassis and all the running gear an IVA wasn't necesary (which seems rather silly to me as you could do anything you like with the body...)

If you don't "IVA" then how do you go about changing the V5 to reflect the new body style?

Thanks Chris - I had a feeling I'd seen it somewhere - just couldn't remember where....

So it seems if you can score 8 or above, and you retained the original chassis, it should just be a matter of getting it inspected by the local DVAL office.

I have to confess that seems a bit of a risk - at least the IVA people seem to have some idea of what they are doing.... Can you imagine spending a couple of years building a nice shapely body on an existing chasiss and then being told it has to have an IVA after all. Hmm...

Cheers
