ive being building a porsche speedster banham kit for the last year, its finally getting there, all primered, dash in , panals on, locks on ,running, starting to look like what its meant to be,problem being iva, no plate lamp reverse lamp ,ive noticed on your sportsters these lights stick out quite a bit ,and youre rear bumpers could slice someones leg off , did these cars pass iva with them off, most of my mags dont go into to much detail about the rear light sticking out,any speedsters owners out there i really need some advice about these probs, its holding me back now,any advice would be gret , cheers guys,

Hi Mark,

Jason (aka GOO) passed his IVA with the Marlin supplied bumpers fitted.
Pictures on this page of his website....

These were modified to pass the IVA. The old ones fitted to my car passed the SVA but are longer compliant.

Not heard of anyone having problems with lights but some refelctors are too sharp and need smoothing off a bit.

If in doubt leave your bumpers off as if they are not fitted, they can't fail them.

hope that helps you along a bit,

good luck, Peter

All my lights passed muster with no issues. All I had to do on IVA was sand a radius on the rear reflectors so they met the 2.5mm radius requirement.

You will not pass IVA without a reversing and rear fog light.

A good rule of thumb is if it's got an E mark on the lamp, it will pass IVA. That's why my reversing lamp and fog where 'ugly' for the IVA:

But got replaced after I got my ticket:
