Is it me? Am I not worthy!!!!!!!!!

Someone put me out of my hell.....

Have a look at the link. This is the braided brake hose and tee piece.
They connect together, but they leak....leak....leak....leak........

Does everyone have the same "style" of braided hose as I do? Take a close look for me???

The fluid either passes down the thread or up the inside of the braided fitting....they are clearly not the same spec...any ideas people?

Sorry to hear about your brakes. Just an idea and don't sure if this is right but could you use some plumbers sealent on the thread. I read this on this web site somewhere. http://www.hoverd.org/Tim

Do not use any form of sealant on brake pipe fittings! It may afford a temporary fix but the problem will re appear! And you don't want bits of sealant floating around in the circuit. My guess is, looking at the link, that the T peice is not compatable with the hose fitting. ie the threads ar'nt deep enough to allow it to tighten down on the taper. Or you ar'nt tightening it enough.

I agree mate. The fittings are not compatible. I have pointed this out to Mark at Marlin and sent them back today...I'll let you know the results.
And no I won't be using sealants on the fittings.

Thanks for web site comments...I'll try to update it next week with stage I build info...and all the hassle/problems that I had etc...

Brake lines are at Marlin, but they are shut now for two weeks arrgh!

You were just unlucky

Although I have had the lines and all connections n the car for a number of months, decided it was time to try and put some fluid in yesterday.

Everything went fine and I can now stop!

Just a shame I can not start.
