The ITB projects a bit quiet right now as we're trying to get the car ready for paint. Part of the this is a set of louvres - for obvious reasons I can't go back to the source to get these done, and I'm after something a bit different anyway!
I've probably spent 16+ hours on the lathe with these, the curves were right headache!
Test results so far are OK, but not perfect. The thing I'm have the biggest problem with is getting a nice start and finish. I think I'm going to have to make up a wooden die I can use to hammer a nice finish to the start and ends.

However, if it doesn't work out I bet they wouldn't remember who you are if you just turned up with your bonnets for stamping. After all, business is business and every little helps to pay the bills.

I know what you mean but the last thing I want to do is support them given our last exchange.
The chaps at http://www.metalmeet.com/forum/ have said that I'm never going to get the start and end nice with a die roller and have suggested I make hardwood die and stamp for finishing it off
After another day of mucking about I've decided if I'm going to spend the next 20 years owning the car I'm going to be pissed every time I look at a poor quality louvre, so I'm going to have them done professionally on the top flat surface! This one's beat me but the bead roller is still useful and I can always use the machine on any hidden area's that need ventilation!

That's a shame after all the work you put in but probably a wise decision.
As you say, you don't want to regret it everytime you look at the car.
