I finally got to the stage yesterday where I could test the dashboard wiring (after several months of work!)
Switched on the ignition, voltmeter and clock working, indicators working (although the left indicator comes on when you indicate left or right!!) but no lights.
After another evenings work with the old multimeter, discovered that two wires in the side light relay were the wrong way round (!) so lights now working! Haven't solved the indicator problem yet though! The hazard lights work OK. But I can't get the switches to light up when you put them on, despite re-wiring them all.
On a related note, the premier wiring loom has an engine spur wire labelled '12V supply choke/reg box'. Anyone any ideas where that should go?
Thanks
Tim
Peter - I've connected up all my EWS wires now, and when I turn the ignition there is 14V through the starter solenoid wire, so maybe maybe it will work when I have finished the fuel connections and am in a position to try the engine! Will keep you posted!

Hi Tim,
looks like your making really good progress and the 14v to the starter sounds very promising. I haven't had time to test out my theories yet!
I found the indicator wiring the most confusing! The lack of switch lights sounds like you might have a ground wire missing?
Good progress Best tip I can give it put all your dash wiring on multi plugs - this will save hours of messing about if you need to take the dash off. Something I needed to do a few times during the build
Thanks guys, it was an earthing problem - one of the pins in one of the multi plugs was bent. I think the LED in the side light switch is broken, all the rest seem to work now. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33105452@N05/
Still can't work out why both indicators come on when you just either indicate left or right. Still, I drive a Beamer so I never use indicators anyway
