Hello everyone

Im new so appologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place.

I have been thinking about buying a Tiger Cat or Avon for ages now and it's about time I found out more about owning one.

I'm interested in finding out things like average car tax, servicing requirements/maintenance, any nasties that I may have to deal with etc.

I'm also looking for some advice on any pit falls when it comes to looking for one.

I appreciated that every car will be different so it may be hard to be specific, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

I too am thinking of buying a Tiger Supercat next year when I retire (early). What I have found so far is that for me the most important thing when buying is build quality. The mechanics are pretty straight forward and low tech compared to most modern cars, therefore should be cheaper to fix. By the time I am ready to buy I hope I will have made enough contacts in the tiger club local area to get someone to come along with me to help with my purchase. I have found that most tiger owners are friendly and helpful and Chester Sports Cars are fabulous for help and advice. I would love to have them build me one but I don't think my budget will run to it. Why don't you attend the local tiger club monthly get together? Details are usually on the club web site. There are also car shows and Chester Sports Cars has an open day/owners meet on the 24 th of August if you are within travelling distance. Meet as many owners as you can and chat to them, thats what I intend to do. Best of all have a go in one, even as a passenger. Graham from Chester Sports Cars took me for a spin. It frightened the life out of me and made me think "Got to have one of these" Good luck and don't forget to post pics when you get one.
