Unsure of a couple of sva questions on the form

Firstly q11 asks when vehicle was first made or registered?

There is no question that asks me the design weights? thought this was on the form?

Cheers for any advice

Hi Craig,
I was just filling my form in last night for my Sportster.

Q11 I read somewhere that the build date for a Kit car is the date you finished building it. I put May 2008.

Q15 asks for the Design Weights?

Cheers Peter, ref q15 so I take it that they are classed as a goods vehicle?

I take it I just ignore axle 3?

Yes, I agree it is badly worded. Page 3 says to complete Q15 for Amateur build status.
But Q15 starts by saying only complete if a goods vehicle?

I assumed Axle 1 was the front, Axle 2 the back axle and 'Gross' is the two added together.

You'll need to get the weights off Marlin or someone here that has already passed.

Good luck,

this is a subject I've not covered yet in the SVA knowledgebase section but have been meaning too.

Would someone be kind enough to post up a completed SVA1 form (real or imaginary data) so that I can use it for reference.

I'm pretty sure I put 450 kg on the front axle, and 500kg on the rear. It is max axle weight, so provided it's above the measured, and the tyres have the appropriate load carrying ability, it'll be fine.

It sounds about the same figures as I put for the T16 as well. But was told it was close on weight.

John,
happy to help but I will wait and see if the VOSA folks are happy with the way I have filled mine in.
