BMW coolants not too expensive, I flushed my daily driver at the weekend. That was a 1:2 ratio for -20. 1:1 for -40.
That's what I plumped for as well, when I called in on the way home from work.
After a flush out, and a leak check, I filled her up with pink gunk. There's some wicked air locks in there though... She's only had 4 litres of coolant and a dash of water. I guess I'm going to have to wait and run the engine and bleed it properly to get the rest in.
Yeah, getting close. I need to start wiring up so I can try and get the engine started. I bought a CBS wiring module to help with the task - but It's a little daunting... I've been trying to work out what the minimum is to get it working, just so I can ensure that after 18 months of sitting idle, it all still works.
I may be asking a lot of questions in the near future!
I'm going to go for the Marlin side pipes. It's expensive, but it is stainless, and I like the look. That's why I've been trying to keep the areas in the engine bay where the pipes exit the bodywork clear.
