I have just had a date for my SVA 19th May.
The trouble is, having provisionally bled the brakes on my own some time ago, I was getting excess travel on the pedal. I wasn't worried then but having bled them again with help, the situation has not improved.
I am using the ABS system off the donor which all worked fine before removal.
I hit upon the idea that that as the sesrvo is mounted about an inch further forward on the 5EXI, i extended the push rod on the servo by an inch.
Not so clever because I cannot fit the master cylinder to the servo. There is too much pressure to push it back to locate it on the servo.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or has any other suggestions.
This kit has done my head in from the start!!!!!
Not using ABS on mine. But only way I managed to get brakes bleed was the old and tested method with the fluid in the jar. Also used the cap from the fluid bottle on the master cylinder res. Pump a few times helped release air.
I know what you mean with the kit doing your head in.
I have experienced this before in the motor trade when abs first started to come in, do you bleed as per the car manufactures guide lines. The reason for asking, if you start futher away first, generally the old way, it not always right for abs systems. Otherwise I cannont offer any other ideas.
