It's quite amusing how naked the Elise looks when stripped back!
Certainly a fair glow from the exhaust, and I bet the cameraman's ears weren't feeling too clever at the end of the run! Although the exhaust is glowing and open to the atmosphere, the airflow under the car is pretty negligible, so that won't help. Amusingly (?) my mates steering column gator caught fire on his turbo-charged Corrado when it was put on the rollers, as there was no airflow around the DP - no problems on the road though.
I ended up burning myself at the DVLA registration. Engine number is situated behind turbo on the T16 right near the rear bulk head. DVLA guy insisted on physically seeing the numbers on the plates. I had to manually hold all the water pipes out of the way to get a torch and a head down there.
