Curious! Given an Impreza engine is intended for longitudinal applications, it's seems a very odd choice.
I can't see how, given the dimensions of an impreza gearbox, they could use the original drivetrain, without copying a 911 / Beetle, and mounting the engine very rearwards!
Also, mounting the engine in the rear, would mean the drivetrain would be back to front - it'd be damn fast.... but only going backwards!
I wonder if they've crammed the engine up front.......?
Yeah I would like to see some pictures. I would have thought they would have had to mount it to a different gearbox using an adapter plate. Surely they can't mount it up front and 4 wheel drive as well???
