Hi Rich, Please dont take this the wrong way but are you sure about the 170bhp in the elise??
Most of the 111s cars fall short of their claimed 143bhp after 30-40k miles and I very much doubt an exhaust and filter would give it nearly 30hp extra anyway....
Again though I know Dylan was achieving 0-60 in about 5.5 secs so similar to elise 111s but what about after that? as 0-60 or 20-70 is not a very good measure of a cars performance.
I still think that if you took a genuine sport 160 with exhaust and filter which would probably be about 163 bhp ish around a track to measure the true differance then the results would be completly different!
This is only my opinion but I have been in quite a few elises ranging from boggo 1.8 118bhp to 111s 143bhp to sport 160 and finally honda elise to know how quick or not they are
I think you may be quoting early cars or S1 Elise figures. This car is a S2 '52' plate with a 160bhp 1.8VVC....the sports box, sports cat and itg cold airbox and filter give it the extra 10bhp.
...anyway.....this Elise is a good, quick example....and the Exi kept with it.
Not really too bothered about quoting figures etc....was just interested in how the 2 cars faired together over a sensible speed range (20-70 is a more realistic example of how the car may be used than the traditonal 0-60 time.....it also removes some of the driver differences as the cars are already rolling)
...oh, and I built the Exi so might be slightly biased??
