CHAD SS4 Lives again

If you read my thread from a while back(January time) I wrote about Tony Claydon selling the rights, jigs etc to the CHAD SS4 and I said then that I hoped someone would start production again.....well good news it has recently been sold and is being re-engineered as we speak! Not going to steal the new owners thunder but it will be Subaru powered when it returns!:nod:

A design update is badly needed, it must be at least 10yrs old now..........but the new engine swap is perfect for this type of car.

I do remember the design being influenced by the 90's Nissan 300 zx shape, and with a few styling tweeks it could still look good today...:)

IIRC circa 1993 and yes you can see the 300zx influence - even uses the front screen from one too!

Just an update, spoke with Steve(new owner) recently and the plans have gone all t*ts up and the project is sunk and will be up for sale again with or without a running prototype(original CHAD with Rover V8 power not Subaru) and an improved shell (better shut lines etc)for 17-18K very soon:gossip:
