What have people done with the hole in the floor near the seat belt mounting point at the back on the transmission tunnel side?

I kept thinking it might be for drainage - also wondering what mr. SVA would think of the hole right where the seat belt mounting is!

I left mine as it was. It doesn't affect the integrity of the seatbelt mounting as the strain is all taken by the propshaft tunnel.

From previous experience it can be useful to have a drain hole - although I am not sure if Marlin intended it that way, or it needs to be that big. I once got caught in a cloudburst on the A1 in my Dutton - which had a fibreglass moulding for the floor (those were the days). Within a few minutes I was sitting in a tub of cold rainwater - I had to literally bail it out!

I've left mine with a hole assuming it is a drain hole.
It looks deliberate and the same on all our chassis so I assume Marlin did it on purpose.

But I must admit that I haven't asked!
