Well it was nice to meet so many fellow builders at Big ritches car, thanks for all the exchanges of ideas it all good to help during the build. Lets hope next year we maybe able to take our own cars up.
I met Rich, and vvc_racing (forgot to ask his name!).
Interesting, as you say, to put names to faces. Kinda dissapointing to see 'bigrich' is actually pretty tall - a 5 ft nothing chap, with such a name, would have been quite amusing!
After taking a trip to Marlin's stand I've now got all my body panels, so very visual progress should be made soon! Hurrah.
Where was everyone the only person I saw was BigRich but didn't say hello as he was deep in a sales pitch at the time and didn't want to ruin it.
Didn't see any other 5exis'
I did a couple of tours of the Phantoms but didn't see anyone that looked liked the owners. Saw Ricola's and Ken's cars (v v nice) but no one around when I was there (this was Sunday)
I think we may need to put pics in profiles.....anyone want to go first hoto:
Yes great to meet you all , I do not feel so alone now ! Shame I am so far away from Crewe !
Thanks Rich for all the advice, although I did not get home until late last night, I managed to modify the bushes for one of the suspension arms, really makes a difference.

It wasn't difficult to talk to the Phantom boys. When you start taking pics with an inconspicuous (sp?) camera, owners tend to start asking questions.
Met the 5exi owners by accident. Saw BigRich's car in the sales area and there just seemed to be half a dozen owners all gathered around.
There was me thinking there was lots of people looking to buy his car!
I didn't see any other 5exi's around either (other than on Marlin's stand).
I would also just like to say a big thanks to Big Rich for letting me ask what must of sounded like pretty silly qestions! And what a fantastic job you have done of your 5exi. Certainly an inspiration for me to get on with my build, particularly as mine is also Orange.
A pity you have to sell it. But needs must. I hope you get a really good price for it.
Still can't get it out of my head Rich that you finished it in just 9 months. One thing is for certain, I never want my wife to hear that!
Great to meet some of you other builders at Rich's car on Sunday. It certainly was a beacon for us.
Next year I hope we have our own finished 5exi's there in our own 'Marlin 5exi' enclosure!
