This is a read-only archive of the old Madabout Kitcars forum. New posts and replies are no longer possible, but every thread is still here to browse and read.
John as I got the latches with the seats and they look good I decided to buy some elise belts to go with them looks so much better than them huge storks fitted to the centre tunnel
well it's not m10, and I couldn't get m12 x 1.75 or 1.25 to take. However my threads, undoubtebly like yours, are packed full of powder coat, and I've only got an m12 x 1.75 tap which I was reluctant to try in case I knackered the threads. Threads are so full of plastic i couldn't reliably use my thread measure either.

Apparantly, old fashioned paint stripper softens powder coat?
I have them but did not need them. I got the correct ones with the seat beats (supplied by Marlin). Your more than welcome to have them (they have a T50 head on the and not sure where you would get the tool for them.I borrowed one from my friendly knackers yard.) But for the SVA, appartently they need to be special bolts. The bolts I got supplied have a little symbol on them.
