Well its the roof, it was a nice heated rear window one, but old. A while back, it was sound but discoloured, following what other people have done, I used kiwi boot polish to make it look like new. I'm thinking that was a terrible idea as the vinyl kind of went crispy stiff and dry after a while and I got a couple of little splits in areas that didn't matter.
Anyway after using the hardtop for a while, found it had shrunk and was trying to force it pulling it forward with my hands and upwards with my head! And yea it split where my head was. Gutted
POSSIBLY UP FOR SALE
I'm buying a new house and need some cash, it's the only reason I'm considering the sale of mx250 Spyder.
Has now got new black leather mk2 seats, power steering and a new clutch slave .

Sorry to hear your thinking of parting with your car, having met you and seen the car at Stoneleigh I have to say I was very impressed with the car it's a great looking, well put together and considering the number of outings you have, a very reliable car, best of luck with the sale, I'm sure once established in your new home there will be another project on the go. Took her out this morning for a final drive before the new owner picks her up tomorrow
Parked it a car park near a coffee shop and listened to all the car "experts" telling their mates what she was, brilliant .
Best one was "it must be a jag, just look at the front end , it's obvious "
O how I giggled .

So, the search for a donor begins.

1.8 with as little rust as possible .
Interior not an issue neither is tatty bodywork.
Preferably a good roof as I will be keeping it.
