barry please do not use my thread for your personal vendetta it is bad manners .your time would be better spent building your car .please stop. rattler
Really Nice!
The surprise for me is that aero-screens have turned out rather well! I'd always liked them as an item but I wasn't convinced they suited the Sammio/Ribble design, they do seem to suit the Miglia a bit better (IMHO and i know others may disagree)
Also i love that dashboard where it carries on down at the sides. That idea may have to be tried on mine

Hi Dave,
I am new on the forum. Followed your build and saw this picture of the Sammio or Tribute with rear roll hoops. Are they added during the build (if it is Sammio) or did they came with the donor (if it is BMW based Tribute) please?
Thanks.
But it was last seen sporting a tail fin, without any roll bars.
So the roll bars are definitely a later addition.
Hope that helps, Paul.
PS
Just to clarify the Tribute side of thingsā¦
Tribute have taken over the production of the Miglia Speedster which is also Triumph Herald based.
( I'm still not sure if a Spitfire based version of the Miglia will also be available. )
The Tribute range that use BMW Z3s as their base are:
- Kobra
- Z300S
- 250 SWB
So there isn't actually a Sammio, or Miglia, styled car that is based on a BMW.
( Although Micky1Mo has fitted a BMW engine to a Herald based Sammio. )
I thought those hoops are a great idea and tried to find the info, but didn't get far, so thank you very much for your reply and the build thread link. Also, thanks for the clarification re Tribute kit models.
