Bought it today, waiting for next months with the tribute build .

I wrote the first article as they wanted an honest appraisal of the car. As I've built a couple of tribute kits it seemed a good idea.

It was well done but cost too much. The interior for example was nearly £4000. I've offered to help him to get the cost down on the next build.

I couldn't help myself, I had to go and have another little fiddle with the bonnet and now I've made it worse, I should have left it alone !!
I need something else now to keep me occupied and stop messing.
Mind you the motor bike is on the road tomorrow

Is it possible you swopped the hinges around (near side fitted on offside and vice versa) when you took it off for painting?
That would explain why you had the problem.

Good call Richard but I didn't remove them from the bonnet
Have discovered that if the passenger side hinge is not too tight the bonnet drops down a bit more when closed ?? Weird.
If it doesn't wobble when driven then it could be the answer ( not driven it since )

Sorted.
Again, just walk away leave it over night , come back to it and it's a different story.
All bolted down . Roll on stoneliegh .

A good few hours spent this afternoon

How did you change the colour of your handles. Did you buy them new that colour or did you have the chrome affect removed. Then keyed and sprayed.

I did them.
Removed them from the door , then rubbed them dull with wet and dry paper, primed then satin black. Job done.

I'm hoping to do the same with my mirrors and door handles. Eventually. But id like to see how it looks in the same colour as my wheels if not then body colour instead to blend.

Re skinned my roof frame with a brand new roof. New seats too .
Hence my old ones are up for sale.

Was the roof hard to do? I have split mine and I'm fuming

Not hard but very time consuming , took me about 8 hrs!!
