You're doing a great job ! An epic build from the outset !
There was a company at Stoneleigh this year offering complete electric conversion "kits". Probably the way to go in the future with a complete package that is a "plug and play" concept.

Well done sorting your insurance ! I would have thought that the companies in the US that insure hotrods and such like would have been your best bet.
Over here in the UK there are several specialist insurers to choose from. Most offer generous discounts if ;
You built it yourself
You are in a club
It is a second vehicle
You want limited mileage eg 3000 miles
You don't have recent claims or license convictions
Agreed value in the event of a total write off is easily available too.
Fully comprehensive cover will typically cost around £200 - £500 a year for the average owner.

I watched this episode on my TV last night and local your scenery is stunning. You live in a beautiful part of the world and full marks for no issues with your car, well done!

For high temperature adhesive I'd have a look at this stuff..........

I've not used this particular type but I use Alpha Adhesive in the UK and it's very good.
Of course, we don't have the temperatures you do.
