Drivers side wiring all temporary to allow for items to be removed for painting:

13 core wire used and only need 11 cores so 2 spare. All extended into the 13 core cable and tidied. All joints soldered, heatshrunk and taped/fixed

Then routing of 13 core cable to back of engine bay, up and over the new front end to the lights

All tested and working perfectly

Is that 13 way trailer cable put in place by Tribute? - I seem to recall they were providing the bonnet with cable already bonded in (but I could be wrong) - A multi-way connector or 2 will be ideal in case the bonnet ever needs removing.

What we do over here is bond in a standard electric pipe in the bonnet so you can route your multiwire cable through there....

Nope, no cable or bonding section in place so had to do it myself

That's the good thing about this forum, there are people with all sorts of skills and knowledge which they are willing to share. I didn't know that such a thing as a 13 way cable existed.

I made a complete loom from trailer cable some years ago . One run to the rear for lights, one run to the front , lights again and one run to the engine for ignition bits and senders etc. Very simple, even I could understand it !

Decided to give up as light was fading fast...

Nope, just propped/lodged it on to see what it would look like, as really want to take time getting handle mechanism to work, so research well underway on how I will do it. Nervous about cutting door skin open, so slowly/gently does it. Gotta admit I would like it/them on, but edges need a finish at they will be shown and they are not the best, also need to work out how to seal top edge as there is a bit of a gap to resolve. Don't even get me started on the alignment as still not happy with front section position, there is limited adjustment. So really all panels are first fit only and everything will come off again, hence the spade terminal connectors on all electrics.

I don't suppose you or anyone else knows the name and paint code of the lovely blue Ferrari further back in this thread?
I want to paint the Kalifornia we are currently building in this colour.

It appears to be a metallic finish so can't be from the period.
To me it looks like Blu Chiaro (Glasurit FER 503/C) though it could be Blu Tour de France (PPG 522) or (PPG 522/C). These are all Ferrari colours.

BTW, if you don't mind non-Ferrari colours, Ford Deep Impact Blue is a contemporary colour (easy to get touch up) and might look good.

Sorry Richard, I don't know, but think there are some really knowledgeable people (Y Cymro has already replied) reading the thread. Hopefully they can help.

It looks very much like Ford Midnight Blue . Perhaps midnight blue base with wet look lacquer would come out well ?

If its blue your after, there can only be one... stirling Moss's color blue...

I should imagine that Richard's looking for an eye-popping colour to attract attention and sell cars. The metallic blue shown above is certainly that. Personally, I like the Stirling Moss colour because it was driven by Stirling rather than it being an especially nice colour. I'd chose it even if he'd used brown!

I agree Sir Stirling is a great guy but I would like to use the Ferrari colour as it adds value to the car on resale. The coupe we are doing after this build with be a stirling replica. I thought about taking it to the NEC and getting him to sign the dash. If anyone knows the actual colour and paint code I would appreciate it.

If you google that colour it looks very dark on all the google images . The car in the photo earlier in the thread looks several shades lighter. Put that down to lighting , the photo , the camera etc . If you want a colour that looks like what you see in the photo print it off and take it to a good paint shop who will match what you see.

The car above definately isn't the same colour as Stirling's cars.
