What a transformation and the light blue is a great colour for these cars.

Will the Gulf orange be "stuck on"?

Looking forward to seeing this back on the road, good luck, Paul. :)

looks flawless

Almost there now

PAUL L, the blue looks even better in the day-light and the orange stripe will be painted on but some suitable decals will also be applied. :icon_biggrin:

ROADSTER, the colour is sorted but the rear lights still need "selecting" this process took weeks on the G-46 but it was worth it in the end :bounce:

I still think this G-46 is stunning :faint:

Sticking with the "blue" theme, I filled the redundant speedo hole with a digital clock.
So now we have blue digital clock, blue digital tacho and blue digital speedo :biggrin1:

Now when the ignition is switched on they all light-up and zero themselves, looks quite impressive :eusa_clap:

Still not sure of these wing mirrors

Well, the new mirrors are certainly miles better than the ones you had fitted to it originally. :icon_wink:

I also like the pool ball gear knob.

Unfortunately, I have to keep my original Spitfire one, as it contains the overdrive switch.

Good luck, Paul. :)

Great colour blue really suits the car, I agree with Paul mirrors are miles better than the previous ones. However can't really comment from that angle, have you got a frontal shot?

Now awaiting the orange stripe.

I just hope the paint work doesn't highlight the "off set" scuttle hump to much. :drama:

As you can see after much effort I returned the original rear light set-up.
25 Sep 2015, 5:27pm
The paint goes on!!.

There's no going back now!!:fear:

I like the rear light set up you have.

Looking forward to seeing the orange stripe when it is finished.

Good luck, Paul. :)

The masking tape is off and I like it !!:eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Stiill got the decals to apply but overall I am well pleased with the result.

Looks fantastic mm!

The stripe looks great.

It should really look the part when it is finished.

Good luck, Paul. :)

Still waiting for a few more decals but you get the general idea.

Just ordered the adaptors to trial fit these wheels.

Should be able to finish this later in the week.
I'll smoke it about a bit then get it on E-Bay.

In total there are 2 bolt rear of the hump, 4 bolts at the rear of cockpit all bolted to a steel frame. 4 bolts fixed through the bulkhead frame and a few screws along the sills. There is no movement in the body yet. :suspicious:

Very nice, it looks the bollocks.

Great Car. Test Drive report and video !

Really like the way the stripe continues through the tonneau cover.

So do I.
I will try and make a similar one for the drivers side maybe out of blue and orange vinyl :doubt:

Nearly there.

Hope to be fitting the brake up-grade, black wire wheels and grill over the next few days.
6 Oct 2015, 7:46pm
Looks great, what's with the grocery list on the side?
6 Oct 2015, 7:52pm
Looks great I love the blend of classic and modern racing livery and the mirrors suit it now its complete
7 Oct 2015, 7:34am
Micky1Mo - It looks great now, but adding your black wire wheels will really top it off.

Will the number plate stay behind the grille?

As I've seen that done on a number of cars, but don't know what the rules are?

Good luck, Paul. :)
