+1 for the XKSS to give me a windscreen but the D type looks nicer IMHO. I have had four bird strikes on my windscreen over the years and am paranoid.
Looking at a morph from a BMW Z3 to a D Type shows the biggest change in proportion is the D Type aero screen is further back from the front wheel and smaller. Oh, the wheel base is longer on the BMW too.
Hi Nick, Have a look at your other A352 tread and let me know what you think.
We had an order from a customer for an A352 shell with a 91.5" wheelbase for a Herald chassis. Here is the process we used to create this special order shell.
The extra length was added behind the doors. This is the shell before:
Chop chop!
Extra sections were laid up in the mould and then trimmed and tech screwed in place, before being glassed on the rear
Once cured the external surface and joins were ground out and filled
Moulds were taken so the process will be much simpler if required again

I notice you are graciously staying out of the recent unfortunate situation that is developing on my old forum next door and won't push you for , or expect a comment from you on the subject , but just to say that as in the glory days of the special bodied cars , people will always have options and this looks like a credible one to me....

Gary, good to see you on here again and as always thank you for your kind words. I will post some pictures of the shell on the customers chassis when the two meet up.
Very nice Chris. As Gary says, it will be good to gauge proportions when it is on wheels but I don't see anything that would detract from the lines. Also agree that there is room for healthy competition in the 50s look.

Hi Chris any update on this. Interested to know how the extended A352 fitted with regards to any chassis parts needing to fall off etc. Cheers.

I will chase this up and see if the body is on the chassis yet, it's local so will go and take some pictures.
Another A352 going out the door next week, this time to France, and a 2" narrowed D Type shell on a Spitfire rolling shell also heading across the channel.
I wonder if he ever built it?
