Tribute Mx250 build progress.

Removed the rear can and got the cherry bomb fitted (between the diff) so i have plenty of room to make the twin side exit pipes simlar to the original 250 pipes. The cherry bomb gives it a very low rumbling bass tone that im pleased with.

Collected my bodyshell and other parts yesterday. Mx5 dismantled. Need to wait for workshop space or build a carport before I start. Also holiday first, so I wont start a thread for a few weeks.

Careful Billy, Jen won't approve of build number 2,3,4,5.......

Nick, you can't fool me with the "building a car port first" line, you are outside now putting the panels on aren't you!

After putting all the rubbers back on i thought the typical jap huge numb looking rubber trim that stops rain running down the window and inside the door had to go so i have made some alloy ones. I will getsome beter pics tom once fitted but heres a few pics of the unfinished product.

The alloy trim has made the door look much thicker and has given it depth. It looks much older and original when fitted correctly. I glued a rubber strip along the bottom of the glass so when the window is up the rubber closes up tight to the alloy trim and makes a seal that is better than the original.

Like the window trims Billy, very period, just need to frame the glass and fit sliding side windows now. How's the exhaust coming along?
