Hi mate sorry I missed you today but had a good old chat with the main man (who you can tell I can't remember the name of!). Incredibly impressive product - the windscreen disguise brilliant. The chrome work was excellent - there is no way you'd know those bumpers were grp unless told. Paint stunning and excellent shutlines but the thing that really impressed me most? the swage line on the side of the body - razor sharp, razor straight.

Once the interior pack is in the resale values will be bullet proof.

I was only there on Sunday , helped Brian on the stand as he's just had a baby a couple of days before and needed the extra support as he was on his own


Really interesting day for me, the overall response was very promising ��
a different clientele to what Dna are used to ,from people who don't like the modern Ferrari stuff that Dna do , to owners of other kit cars that didn't want the faff of a ground up build
again .

Happy to get the professional approval also , from build agents to painters
Who were REALLY looking into every detail on it trying To find faults ��


Found it hard to stop everyone opening doors and boot and bonnet
Poking and prodding all items ! People don't care that it's someone's car !

My car is going back to Birmingham to have seats fitted then I will be bringing it home to London for a bit until Brian's ready for the other interior bits

I think you've opened their eyes to the beenfits of the classic rep market i.e. not having to constantly develop kits to keep up with new models. It's a classic now and it's still a classic in 30 years time.

One thing I notice on sat was the amount of wife's and women who said they would drive my car and we're giving the other halfs permission

All you need to remember is, when someone asks me what my car is I have to say "Well, it's a bit like a 250 swb but it's a convertible that they never made so it's not really a replica but..." and they are glazing over at this point.

All you have to do is say "You've seen Ferris Bueller right?". Big smile. Winner (and yes, beer ledge - no one said that when they were watching the movie did they, "Oh my god that car is beautiful - wish I could afford one of those, driving round with the top down in California sun.......if only it wasn't for that rear step..."

Here in America, you couldn't have one. People who used it at tailgate parties would invariably try using it while the car was at speed. Bottles would fly, glass would litter the road, and eventually twenty-six different attorneys would initiate three separate class-action lawsuits on behalf of those who'd been hit by shards, those who's suffered the emotional horror of seeing others hit by shards, and those who'd seen the report on the news, and then been traumatised by thinking about it. No... in modern America, that beer shelf wouldn't do at all, and legislation would be passed against it.

In Ireland, of course, rejecting the "perception" of Alcohol Culture, Enda Kenny would declare the Beer Shelf a National Treasure, and order it fitted onto every existing motorcar in the land.

Apologies in advance for any racial stereotyping you may think you see here, but America does tend to lose about 30,000 people a year to handguns. That's over five hundred a week. About eighty five people a day killed with guns. But apparently, guns aren't dangerous...

Each American uses more energy that any other nations individuals.

If you shoot eighty five of them a day you are cutting your greenhouse gas emissions .

The fact that most who get shot are the poor and unloved also helps increase the average Americans wealth as there are less people with zero dragging down the average.

It is a win win situation.

*This was explained to me by a guy in a very expensive suit buying me very expensive vodka in a very expensive bar in New York about five years ago. Regardless of weather or not you liked the design I don't think any body can knock the quality of the finished car.

Likewise the other unpainted one fresh from the moulds was also excellent, they will not need tons of prep to get them to the painting stage.

...and you will have somewhere to rest your beer...

I know Brian said the interior package was going to be complete dash capping with separate gauges - a proper full disguise job. But what seats are you using if I can ask? Not sure I'm settled on my choice as it stands.

After chatting with Brian at the show (great guy) I've found a local chroming specialist who uses the same process as on your bumpers so I'm going to see them this week about getting both the GRP grille surround and bumpers done - gotta try and keep up with the Joneses!

Another detail I spotted on your car (which I freely admit I'm gonna copy lol) is the grill "chip cutter" was only polished alloy on front faces the sides of the bars looked blacked (or not polished). Noticed it straight away - much cleaner and classier look.

they are called challenger seats ,they are changing the base to match the Ferrari look better
I think Brian said he could fit them to the electric part of the z3 seats so they can still move forward and up via the switch

Will you be making a coupe version? 250SWB?
