Your 250's coming on nicely. Good job!
Is that a Camaro hiding in the garage?
Steve
Thank you Steve!
Yes that is my other Project car. This is a five year or so Project. LS7 427cui aluminium engine T56 6-speed... Fourlink+watts link, 14" brembo etc... I have replaced ALL external metal on it. It was a rust free car but the metal was seasoned, mildly said...

Excellent. Please keep us updated about both builds
its coming on well and looking great, those arches really work well and will undoubtedly look even better with colour. I have to admit I am unsure about the exhaust after all the lengths to get a period look are you sticking with that one?

Thank you Jones!
I am pretty sure that i wont keep the exhaust. The "exhaust" on the Pictures is just a empty 80mm thinner can!
I will be using a single exhaust, but the end finish i´m not sure about now. But it will be a single. The whole exhaust system will be 3" diameter, so i think there will be a very discreet one in 3" (76mm). I Think i will go for less is more. But any suggestion or idea is very welcome, as i have not decided yet.
Today/evening was a bit of a milestone. Sprayed filler on the car, and i sprayed all other parts (front, doors etc) yesterday. Looked pretty ok in the wet filler. So now it must sit for a couple of days (the longer the better) to sink in, so i got time there to fill in the zillion pors that is now visible.
Toaday i sanded the car and all the parts. Then i sprayed it with black sanding primer. This one is more solid than the spray filler, and doesnt suck the finishing paint "dry". Gives a better end result, and also its black so it is very easy to see any imperfections. Also it makes my dark green colour cover a lot better. So next update i do it probably has some British racin green on it!
Yes thats right! I am storing the doors in the gazebo! Not popular around here...
Andreas, first of all I love your badges and love your car !
I also had some problems finding badges with the Mazda logo, so I downloaded and with GIMP, I changed it into a badge I like for my old gearshift.
Then with the fullcolour laserprint on a round silver metal plate 25mm, but also bigger 50 mm round ,possible to any size up to 200mm ( gold, nikkel etc aluminium plate, full colour so whatever you like) and covered with clear epoxycoating.
Maybe when I am ready with the kitcar I change the badges into a own design or other old Mazda logo..?
That is just great! I didn´t know it was possible!
Talk about going over the river for water for me...

Andreas, with your gt40 and mustang setting such high standards this looks like it too will follow in those foot steps. It's amazing how colour suddenly takes all that promise and ties it together. Awesome!
Yes it is really fun to watch every project when the paint comes on, its a milestone and a big satisfaction every time. I guess it is the satisfaction that makes me do it again, and again!
So today a bit more progress. The other parts got painted.
Seanick. -Thank you, yes i think it might be the first one, i don´t know if all the build are up on the forum or not, but it is the first green i have seen. I have always liked the BRG colour, but never owned one!
Axel, Thanks, yes i have painted in the garage with the doors open when it has rained a bit outside (almost all the time). So not a single bug or fly! But yes, there is a small amount of dust particles in the paint. That is impossible to get away from in these facilities! But i have tried too keep this one Low Cost, so no paintshop for me! The paint is a home mixed one (very cheap about 17 GBP for a liter). Also the paint was not easy to work with as it dried too fast. I am very happy i painted it in pieces, it would have been impossible to do a whole car! But later on i will sand the car with 2000 wet and polish it up, that gives it realy smooth finish and take away the dust.
Best regards from Andreas with the green nails, fingers and hands!
As I am making these by- and for myself, I will not charge you for the badges you want and if you like ..a keychain too.. So send me a PM for your adress etc.
