Thanks Andy P57 what do you think!

It certainly gives a new 'shouty' face to the car. I think I used to have a drill Sergeant that looked a bit like it
I'd reserve judgement until I can see it blended in and coloured but well done for putting your own stamp on it!

Hmm, I was going to be diplomatic on this one and say nothing. But I've go to say it really doesn't work for me: a bit like making Marilyn Monroe up like a goth...

Hmmm . Being diplomatic. So THAT'S what I was doing

Each to their own but I find it a bit challenging to visualise that sitting neatly in with the rest of the bodywork.

Photos when fitted might help but not something I have planned

Each to their own Charman! :eusa_whistle:

I must admit to siding with the majority here and saying that it is not my cup of tea either! :eusa_hand:

Spoils the flowing lines of the car. Can't you fabricate something nicer?:noidea:

Mabe if you modelled it of an earlier Skyline GTR it would help...

i presume you are just replacing the open mouth look with the gritted teeth look and not putting the whole wrap around front end as you could not possible get it out of your garage without scooping up half a ton of gravel
16 May 2012, 6:36am
A small point compared to the bumper but your scoop doesn't look very symmetrical

Boys boys boys

It was only a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a new front end for "Madmarks" Fiat Punto Van or as he likes to call it his Fiarrati! that we were replacing in the garage at the weekend.

I am hurt! that you though I might be serious! and surprised you had not sent the men around in the white coats and far to generous in your comments.

Thank f:)ck for that! I really thought you'd lost the plot. :der:

I was thinking 'you'll never get the bonnet open'! I look forward to your Christmas Special...

I was being diplomatic because I've seen people proudly driving worse monstrosities than that at various kit-car shows.

I felt my initial response to your 'pride and joy', which was to shout "I HATE IT. I HATE ITS CHEAP NASTINESS! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING YOU CRETIN" at the computer screen might just be considered a tad offensive. :tape:

That's ok, that was my reaction to your project before you put the Fiaterrarri nose on it by the way...

I thought you had got carried away after playing with the rest of the bodywork. As I said, it was a 'challenging' look. Glad it wasn't for real though...

Scoop still doesn't look symetrical though.

Scoop! that's the bonnet aperture! I just hope the V8 and gear box will come back out thru there.

I have actual formed a scoop in the bonnet and will post a picture as soon as I remaster the technology.

It is central give or take a millimetre or two quite hard to take a photo showing that.

I want to get the car out of the garage so I can take a long shot of photo of the body now most of the detail has been roughly shaped.

Come on then, i'm waiting! Its not a bad day today? how about a video?
17 May 2012, 4:39pm
Viewing it on a phone so it looked like a scoop, sorry. Bumper still looks carp though

Any update on the beaded edge to the wheel arches?

A bit or brake pipe bent to shape as a former and then bonded over?
