....a few hours on Saturday. The shorter wheelbase/cabin area and lower windscreen height of the MX5 vs the Mk1 Escort means the side and rear windows have had to be reduced (a 2.5" roof chop) and the roof shorthen by 6.5":











May need a little rust repair....

Looking good....! Now the trick will be to keep the nose as short as possible...... Are there any bits of the MX5 that are not considered 'structural' that could be cut off to shorten the nose...?

Such a shame. Would probably sell more than the Grantura shell. It's what the Mk1 always needed- a 150bhp motor and a 6speed g/box.
