Mr Bonds Build (Car noob)

Are you planning to add doors? If not, those sketched side windows might mean some walkways up the rear deck in order to get in.

Sorry, I should also have said, looking good!

Like the idea of doors but will make lift out or hinge side screen

CarNoob - Your car is coming together nicely.

Good luck with the rest of it, Paul. :)

PS
Does the boot "lip" have / need a drain, or does it simply seal water tight?
27 Mar 2014, 11:51am
Hopefully watertight but I may add a drain.

CarNoob - I also picked up a similar stepped drill bit set from ebay and have almost worn them out.

Those push fasteners look good.

Are they self tapping, or do you need to bond them to the body work / boot lid?

Cheers, Paul. :)
25 Apr 2014, 6:35am
Hi Paul the top one has a retaining clip the bottom one a nut but I may bond it in. It only took 8 months to finally find a small fastener but I was sure they were out there if I kept looking:::whoo::whoo::whoo:

After fitting lights position was not symmetrical 1.5 cm lower and 1.5 to the right. I could have glassed the back and recut the hole but it kicked in to the left, so out came the cutting disc and moved position. another problem solved.
Also recessed front indicators idecided to go for clear for the front I think they look better this picture is befor I moved the left headlight position

CarNoob - The view from the front looks very good.

Is it my eyesight, or has your car gained an extra hump recently?

Cheers, Paul. :)

I've just been catching up on your build and it's looking very tidy!

Out of interest, what is the chrome handbrake lever that you're using? Is it one of the Lokar ones?
