I have spent just over a day improving the hinges on the car ....Poor old Jeff has been trying to get the gaps really nice on a door that kept changing its height due to over engineered door frames and under engineered hinges !!
I tried to upload a picture but it is huge ...so I will try again tomorrow ...
The hinges are now angle iron style instead of flat plate , they have been welded to the frame in extra places where they touch , have been braced and tied together with a studded 8mm bar inside a crush tube and the oil lite bearings and 8mm pins have been replaced with roller bearings in machined housings with 6mm centres and some hole reducer inserts added to the frame so I can use 6mm bolts and nylocs as the hinge pins ...it is so much better , supports itself and opens smoothly and repeatedly without trying to re-adjust itself !
Yup, Paul, you are correct. And, there are a changes coming-up for Oxford1360. Once they are sorted I should have a good-sized garage close to the house from ~October. Progress should be much swifter from then on......
Gary, apologies for my lack of clarity. If you could let me have a price for two of the humps that you have supplied for the passenger above.

Thank you.
Oxford , if you wanted 2 humps supplied separately with the same excess around them as the loose one in the picture , giving you plenty of material to 'graft' ...a 6 oz. layup and finished in grey gelcoat ......then we would be looking at £140 the pair including well wrapped postage via parcelforce.
Thank you ...it has Landrover type slam latches and a modified Landrover dovetail catch ...I have reduced the latch area to minimize rattle .
Interesting idea any photos?
I tried a similar arrangement on the G-46 with-out success. The doors never felt "firm" and would open with the body flexing. I ended up using a pair of small bear-catches from CAR BUILDER SOLUTIONS.
They were cheap and worked well.

I can take some pics when young Mr. Jeff has finished painting it as latches are off at present .....they are pretty firm ...the doors don't flex much , the new uber hinges have tightened it up ......
Bear claws are really good , and you can get those door drop latch things too , to locate a door and hold it ...the ones convertible cars and lorries tend to use on the rear bodies where doors flex... this sort of thing ....
Jeff sent me some pictures today ...I know Graham has seen the full set , so thought I would put a couple on here ...
The car has been sprayed in Polyester reface ...this will be sanded back and then the car will be treated to some 2 pack high build primer and sanded again ...
Jeff also masked the whole of the underneath of the car , engine bay , floors etc...so no overspray should make its way onto the restored chassis ...
The car has had a fair few hours put in to it this week and is now in colour.
Graham decided against the Rosso blood red colour in the end and went for a more classic looking colour, the same one used on my car, Rosso Barchetta, I think it suits the car very well.
Some pics for those interested.
I do have pics of the painted car but they are on my phone, I will get some better ones tomorrow and bung them up here.
The car will be left for a few days to harden off,
Then it will have a day spent on it flatting and polishing, the only paint work left to do is the rear bulkhead in Silver, and the head lamp bowls also in Silver.
