9 May 2017, 10:48pm
I'll do my best to be there in my donor Z3 2.2 Just hope I'm not too knackered from the trip back from Italy the night before !
10 May 2017, 4:32pm
I will be there as a spectator. Happy to pay for the meal, even though i may have to leave early due to family arriving from "up north." Worth it though just to see the cars and talk to Chris.

Meat and Motors

The Tribute Automotive Owners Club BBQ is definitely on June 10th 2017

There will be just 10 show car places.
There will be room for other people etc but just 10 in the Car Show spaces of honour. Depending how this one goes I might arrange bigger things in the future in other parts of the country but I need this to be a success first.

The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get a free, yes FREE, BBQ Burger. Look at the menu on pub website and you will see these are great burgers with no added donkey meat.

The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get a free, yes FREE, Tribute Automotive t-shirt

The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get free, yes FREE, automatic entry into the public vote for the "Car of the Show" with a keg of beer as the prize!!

I have borrowed this place : http://www.brewhouseandkitchen.com/venue/southampton/

Planned route for drive out. Map shows it and download shows more detail but basically...

1) Meet at Pub at 11am, leave at 11:30am
2) Drive out to the New Forest turning left at the top of the hill BEFORE Ashurst signposted to New Forest Wildlife Park / Deer Leap Lane
3) Head for Beaulieu. There are a few kinks and turns but they are signposted
4) Leave Beaulieu towards Hythe
5) Marchwood by-pass then turn off towards Eling
6) Cross the TOLL BRIDGE(£1.00) at Eling Tide Mill
7) Into Southampton along Millbrook Rd and back to the pub for food

Kidge & Carol hope to be coming east along A31 - so will turn off onto route at Deer Leap Lane est 11.15am.

Striving to have GTB moving, but not complete.
30 May 2017, 2:40pm
If people do need to meet up along the way that is great.

Remember we plan to meet at 11 and then leave at 11:30am so Kidge & Carole may have to amuse them selves is a quite New Forest lane for half an hour before we get there.

:-)

I will try to drive the route this evening and get some approximate timings although traffic on the day may cock it all up

Any advice on the location of ice cream vans could be helpful . . .
30 May 2017, 11:00pm
IT'LL BE POST CRUISE FOR ME TOO ...Not much fun dragging a trailer around ...
31 May 2017, 1:01pm
Have a great time everyone, I unfortunately will be up in the peak district for my annual lads get together and I'm running 3 peaks too - pub sounds better!

Due to a mix up with the dates it looks like I will be able to make it for sure as we got back from Italy yesterday ?---!!
4 Jun 2017, 4:14pm
And I spotted an Ice cream van when I drove the route!

Depending on the traffic, there may need to be some 'spirited' driving to do the loop in the hour.

If you get to the pub before we get back then there shouold be a marked out area for 'show cars' and some room for other cars (and trailers) but the surrounding streets are safe it it gets crowded.

Apparently there are posters up in the pub promoting a 'Classic Car Show'. The show we put on must therefor be Classic I guess

Have we got indoor BBQ if its wet ??
7 Jun 2017, 8:42pm
It is a pub. All options covered*

*not that it will rain
