Best colour yet on a Koupe. Reminds me of the 250 hot rod.
Looks spot on without trying too hard and first to have proper window frames. It all makes the difference.
Proper door handles too.

The frames are still a work in progress deal, I still have to make some templates and get the glass cut.
Very pleased with them, but they were a lot of hard work.
I do like the colour, as I have said before always a hard one to nail down, I think it works well on the shape of the car.
Oh and it is the only Ferrari item on the car lol.
Anyway, I took some pictures outside today, it was very overcast but it does show the colour a bit better, I still have a lot to do, rear window, splash shields, panel in the boot area etc etc.

You may be leaving the rear shelf as it is, but if you're going to cover it, make sure you do it before you put the window in. It is possible but very awkward and everything ends up covered in glue. Believe me, I made that mistake.

I was going to leave it as it is, but seeing the Blue one covered I may go down the same route.
I still have some work to do on my rear screen so have a week or so to make a decision.
Just a thought but it could look good if you covered the shelf but left the holes as they look rather good with your race car theme.
Perhaps with some alloy edges to the circles.

Also wondered about using that stretchy carpet, I think you did your headlining in it ?
Oh and the holes were more for ventilation, hope to stop the rear screen misting up as it is perspex.
The headlining and the rear shelf are all done with. It works well and is quite forgiving.
I was given enough to do mine and also given some a bit thicker. The thicker one was fine for padding the door trims but the thinner one folded best for the other parts.
Looking great, I love the red, a nod to the heritage but not the normal tacky Ferrari red!!
I do like the idea of carpet with holes in for the rear shelf, it may look a bit unfinished rather than racer looking if left bare. Or maybe a panel made in aluminium with racing holes?
Wheels look great as well, a case of less is more. All the gaps look nice and even, small point but I can imagine how much time and effort it must have taken but well worth it.
Only thing I'm not sold on is the black grill surround, I think chrome would match in better with the chrome head and spot lights. Beemabuild on the DNAOC website has bought in the chrome spraying system that it used on all the chrome parts on DNA's 2fifty.
I would suggest you invest in a chrome spraying kit, that way you could treat us all!!!!!!
Their are still some flatting marks to remove here and there.
It needs to be top mopped and sealed and waxed, will wait until the paint hardens out a bit.
It was only painted last Sunday.

Well it looks bloody awesome! Just noticed your positioning of number plate lights- they actually make more sense there because up top they only tend to light half the plate.
Top notch job on the bodywork Jeff, especially the tight panel gaps around the boot. I think Tribute could do well to negotiate with you to get a mould done from your car, would save a lot of fannying about with bodywork for future builders if they started off with a finish such as your car.
I like the painted grill finish too (although chrome would look good too obviously), bumpers would definitely finish the front end off.
Being controversial now, and going against the grain....I like the steely look wheels but they look too big to me and dominate a bit too much. Please don't take offence, it's just my opinion and we all know what they are like
I was admiring the wheel & tyre size thinking it brought the look more up to date and also giving it a more aggressive stance, It's nice to see every builders ideas..............so I can steal the best ones!
Just a thought that may or may not have crossed your mind, a couple of coloured bolts, one yellow and one black, and P50 SWB could accidentally end up looking like 250 SWB. Couldn't possibly condone that sort of thing though, not with me being a recently retired bobby and all...
