Lovely colour choice that really suits it, well done

We can't take the credit for the colour that was the customers inspired choice. It looks so classy and understated.

Made it myself out of aluminium, got one on the front as well.

Then you should take the credit for the excellent prep that make the paint job look so good. After all, it's generally regarded that 80% of a good paint job is down to careful preparation.

Yep, very classy colour choice imho. That mid grey metallic works really well.

I've also found with my Spyder that a non obvious colour choice throws people off the scent of it being a kit car. After all, who would paint a 50's or 60's Italian sports racing car anything but Rosso Corsa red, apart from its original owner in the 50's or 60's who neither new nor cared that people of the future would expect all Italian exotics to be painted red.

Keep up the good work, that's going to be a stunning promotional vehicle for you.

Out of red or silver I'd go silver too - if you Google image swb it's about 50/50 silver vs red that comes back. Silver does appear kinder to the shape (I mean the Tribute shape not the original shape). And actually the reaction to the grey above should tell you silver will be a good choice.

I also agree Andy , painting it red and sticking a yellow shield on it is a touch too far.
Silver is a good choice and if the shade is from the right era it will be just as classy as the dark grey.

Thank you for your kind comments. We do work very hard on these builds for Burger King money so when we get a response like this it helps.

I shall add my comments too if that is ok for a noob. The mid grey customer's car looks excellent in the metallic grey. Well done the customer on that choice of colour.

What is even more to the point is that it support Andy S's view that when he goes to paint his silver(?) (in his choice of what shade). This will show how much time an effort he put into his build and can reap the benefit from a financial point of view.

Love this forum - full of excellent work and build threads and more importantly differing opinions. Without it turning into a flame war that you see on other sites.

Would not be surprised at all if, after Stoneleigh (where I'm guessing it'll be possible to do a before and after comparison) there are some serious attempts to poach you as a build agent by other manufacturers.

We already have been approached by Widow sports cars and another industry leader (who asked to remain anonymous) but our workload as you know is silly so really can not accommodate more. I could take on a bigger work force but then I would start to make it into a business enterprise and less of a hobby-business which is more fun. I do like the Tribute products though even though they can be frustrating at times. Is that not what part of car building is about...finding simple, good solutions to problems?
