Sorted. No, i wondered how the current G wagons are made?

Gary, the G-Wagon underpinning can be dated back to around the 70's and had some significant updates in the 1990 depending on country but not much more since. Don't quote me but I believe its even still hand made in Austria...?

The GL is not related at all to the G-Wagon, it was meant to serve as a replacement in it conception but the G Wag continues and indeed it does share the platform of the ML.

Hope that helps

Danny, try get a good few clear shots of the g chassis once the body is off, top side and poss underneath either tipped up or on a ramp, then minds can whirr pontification and musings can be added to contemplation leading to doodles then sketches for the possibility of the 6 wheeler project next. Ed.

Ed, I will upload pics as and when I get sent them as Im currently working in Germany!

Do you or anyone else know how much I should get for the G wagon chassis/running gear with logbook?

Im looking to claw as much money back as possible from it!

would tout it on the 4x4 forums diff lock etc then put it on eBay, I would of thought it would have some value, to be made into a quarry basher buggy, but sadly may be worth more in parts, axles are probably worth a bit, and if you sell it you know that when you build your 6 wheel one next( you know you will have to build it because you thought it now ha ha) you will end up paying a fortune for an axle.Ed

Is it an Autobot? Or does a baddie in a Marvel comic own it... I'm sure it goes well, you can see who that is aimed at. Just need a falcon.

That's excellent. Please pm their details to me so we can discuss a project.

Danny, Don't forget its beneficial particularly for a road going car to section and enlarge the inner arches than to mess with and raise the suspension to fit your amg big wheels in. Ed
17 Jul 2015, 8:47pm
Ed, here is a pic of have the shell sits now....

Ive had it dropped a good few inches so it looks and sits right without modifying the suspension. Ive got 22" alloys to go on so will post a pic of how it looks tomorow.
