There is no reason why either the 'forum' / 'pm' (personal mailing) or emailing to my account could not be used, after all LL has managed to post comments on other topics in the last month or two, although I appreciate he must be extremely busy.
I anticipate sending a letter shortly.
My biggest fear is that the original brief (and my budget) will have been exceeded - if anything I'd want him to stop work (irony huh) until we have agreed how to go forward.
i fully sympathize . It is very frustrating when Gary ignores all attempts at contacting him .In 4 months he has only replied to me twice and both of those were lies .if my experience is anything to go by letters will be ignored to .My advice to anyone dealing with Mr GARY JANES is only give him any money when the goods are in your possession . Good luck and hope he doesn't mess you about to much

And I'm guessing I'm not the only one on here, so this isn't really the best forum to slag Gary off, as you won't get a sympathetic hearing.
The best advice I can give you is to take your grievance to trading standards or the small claims court if you think you've been done over.
Good luck and it's a shame you're not happy with the service you've got from the Sammio empire, as most of Gary's customers seem to be perfectly satisfied.

I'm 100 miles away - the chances of arriving unannounced and catching the man in is too remote to contemplate, plus the fact that it is totally unnecessary.
I'm sure that LL will get round to me eventually, I know what it's like having several projects on the go at any one time.
I must admit that whenever I have an idea it quite often turns into a consuming passion, until the next big idea turns up - in the meantime it's research, delve, scribble etc..
I recently saw a re-run of the film 'To Catch A Thief', with Cary Grant and (sigh) Grace Kelly, where GK drives CG around Cannes/Nice in a Sunbeam Alpine.. it's not that dissimilar from a 1950's BMW and a Scimitar could be a useful donor... see what I mean?

There is no 'dissing' of the gentleman in question MrTowed as you should have noticed if you had bothered to read my posts properly. If you simply wish to argue or pedantically discuss something you know nothing about (or even copy a post over from another thread) you know what you can do.
I have nothing but admiration for Gary and fully sympathise with the difficulties he encountered after launching the project 24 months ago and indeed I empathise with his realisation that it was not going to go the way it was planned.
I previously noted Gary's general apology to others on this forum and indeed received the same in person at the Newark show and have nothing but admiration for the guy given the difficulties he has faced and the complete twats that he had had to deal with who do not understand the concept. I have even felt embarrassed when he decided to try and explain himself on the forum to some other aggrieved party - Gary, relax, we get it.
I have a legal claims background and I am acutely aware of the power of legal system and how it works and can assure you that should I have not been satisfied with the service received so far (albeit on a time scale not originally envisaged) I would have remedied the situation.
Currently all I need is confirmation from the gentleman in question that he received, read and understood my email of 07/09/2012 and that we go forward from there. If he did not receive it (which is possible if his 'in box' is full - as someone else alluded to - which wouldn't surprise me) then a simple 'send me a letter' or an invite to visit his business premises via this thread would suffice.
As most on here know I prefer a gentle prod now and again rather than a Gestapo type 'kick down the door' approach.
It's been 12 months since I paid my deposit (and all subsequent agreed fees). The original gestation period was inaccurate and I have suffered accordingly - however apologies were rendered and accepted and I expect that Gary will eventually 'come through' as he has done before and I look forward to discussing the matter with him, in good grace, in due course.
Note to Gary : You are a nice guy and people like it when you talk to them, even if the news isn't always 100% positive. It is even better when the news is 100% positive. Either way, it is good to talk.
Update: My G46 has now transferred from Holton Heath to sub-contractors for completion of the bodywork and I'd like to thank Chris Welch at Tribute Automotive for his kind assistance in this matter.
As this concludes my arrangement with Gary - who has completely fulfilled his contractual obligations in very difficult conditions, under extreme pressure - I must take this opportunity to thank him for his inspiration, vision and kind assistance over the last year. I must also thank Mike for his infectious enthusiasm. I wish you both well for the future and hope to see you both again once I'm on the road.
If you get the chance to get down to Tribute try and get there a bit early and have a nose around some of the other stuff Chris is doing. My old TVR may still (partially) be there.
Also the guys at Tribute are a top source of hints, tips and tricks. Top blokes and very helpful.
I've heard a lot about Tribute Automotive on this web site and have been impressed by the comments made regarding the quality of their work, so I'm hopeful things will proceed according to plan...
If you want to stop off at Southampton on the way up or down, you are welcome. No problem if it isn't convenient. Pm me if you do, I am here most of the time.
Tribute Automotive have advised that the second head fairing ('hump') has been manufactured and will be fitted shortly.
However due to the increased seasonal demand of their products this will now take place in the early New Year, which is perfectly acceptable to me, so further updates to follow in early 2013..

I pointed out to my friends the other day, that with typical British humor the TV schedulers have scheduled the documentary on the end-of-the-world for the weekend "after" the world is meant to end!
