only need a small bit for a motorbike seat so shipping in from the usa will be a bit costly :-(

oh its been a long time since i updated this thread.
I have been lurking here and the Tribute Threads. I do like Chris's A352.

Well the car sat at the body shop for ages gathering dust, The bodyshop owner was doing me a favour but his work load was preventing the roadster from progressing. I had a long overdue day off and i got to play in the body shop. A DA and 6 hours later and the many layers of hand painted paint were removed. Much more satisfying than a rubber block but still back breaking.

At the end I think Garry at Elite Panelcraft took pity on me and shot the paint the next morning for me. Its not perfect but then it was never supposed to be a concours show car.

Today in the winter sun i managed to tinker with the car for an hour

First chrome windscreen surround

I also fitted the chromed wiper arms and wiperblades

I didnt have much time but i trial fitted the headlamp covers

So not much done - but its getting there slowly

Morning Roadster, I like this last pic with the chrome surrounds on the lights, is it a trim that you bend round? How will you hold it on? Did the hand painting really turn out that bad or because of when/where you had to do it. So is it finished now?

the chrome trim is the 3m adhesive stuff that is cheap on ebay - heat and patience and it will do most things.

The brush painting was ok but the dust and rain kept preventing the finish i was trying for.

i have to fit front indicators, rear number plate lamps, bonnet catches and washer jets. I have the front coil overs to fit and then i can dial the car down a little. i also have a 4 into one manifold to fit.

Nothing major and then take for a mot - then show it to dvla to rename it.

I should be out and about in 2013.
