Good question WCA. There is a good chance of that.
I'll check in with when we having a summer holiday and see how to work it in. It's not that far after all I will bring beer/beef money and questions but no interesting wheels
The use of the TT filler cap is well thought through. They BM wheels ?
I (hopefully) will be doing my own Kobra this year so I always ask questions.
Dave
The wheels are optional extra on BMW's made by a third party OEM supplier to BMW. Not quite meant for this model but the offset was great and it fitted tyres that cleared the suspension. The original Z3 clover leaf wheels didn't look right on the Kobra. I did buy some old 5 series wheels that I thought would fit but they would need special spacers made that would have cost £400+ so they are in a nice stack in my back garden pretending to be a garden ornament. Ditto the Z3 clover leaf wheels. Anyone need some wheels? Good luck with your build. The instructions I got from Tribute were pants but fortunately I like a challenge and having just restored a Robin Hood Lotus7 kit car then I had loads of experience to call on.
Update from the Landlord "Am going to get in touch with the South African meat supplier in town, and look at having some interesting meats on offer for the BBQ."
Hope you like grilled gorilla and wildebeest burger!
Well worth it with the right cuts and prep. Usually spicy or herby. They leave over night to marinate. Just keep turning the meat like a rotisserie. Juicy and sweet. Spuds in foil would work as well. My wife's family are from zim and know their bbq skills.
Hi All - Just bumping this up the forum in advance of Stoneleigh. Hoipefully you will have a great time there and want to meet up again for beer and food in sunny Southampton.
Please add your names - even if you aren't bringing you Tribute car so I can give the landlord some idea of numbers.
Ok , so this is the food , when are you going to tell us where the venue is? I know its somewhere in Southampton but a location to aim for within a 1/2 mile radius would take out some of the guess work !
The Tribute Automotive Owners Club BBQ is definitely on June 10th 2017
There will be just 10 show car places. There will be room for other people etc but just 10 in the Car Show spaces of honour. Depending how this one goes I might arrange bigger things in the future in other parts of the country but I need this to be a success first.
The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get a free, yes FREE, BBQ Burger. Look at the menu on p[ub website and you will see these are great burgers with no added donkey meat.
The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get a free, yes FREE, Tribute Automotive t-shirt
The lucky people who are quick enough to book their space in the car show will get free, yes FREE, automatic entry into the public vote for the "Car of the Show" with a keg of beer as the prize!!
If you are travelling a distance then there are loads of hotels in Southampton to suit your budget. Perhaps your other half would like a weekend away shopping in Southampton on Saturday and a cruise around the New Forest on the Sunday?
I had to promise at least 30 people* will turn up to support the 10 cars.
DON'T LET ME DOWN (please)
I shall unashamedly spam the life out of this forum until you ALL promise to come.
*I sort of put up the money to cover any losses

Due to being a greedy bastard, the picture of the burger has persuaded me!
So long as it's out of paint by then.
According to the tutting and sucking of teeth of my painter I will have to request a spot as far away from Jeff's car as possible.

It's ok Steve,
We go on courses for sucking of teeth and tutting, it helps get the price up.
