Think the skylin lights might work.

Hi Mazdarazmataz good progress - however word of caution - you will find the shape changes a bit when under tension etc mounted to the car. Hopefully in your case it won't but the alignment is likely to change...

I'm interested in your bonnet mounting can you show us how you have done that?
6 Jul 2016, 2:52pm
Hmmm really? I hadn't thought of that
6 Jul 2016, 4:36pm
Jones they are just standard bonnet pins, minus the round plates at the top

Thanks, I thought that so I will try and get you a pic of mine over the day or so to demonstrate the change in shape vs. Bonnet curve.

Looking good man! Can I ask what you used to trim round the perplex? Looks great! Is it the bendable eBay stuff?

8mm stick on chrome :p (£8 from halfords 4 meters)

Its not 100 percent ideal to be honest as the curves are a bit tight for it.

I often complain about having to build my car outside on the driveway, but…

My wife would kill/divorce me if she came home to find me building the car in the dining room!

Good luck, Paul. :)

Hi Razmataz. You are certainly cracking on. I know the problems regarding working outside, my last 4 weeks or so have been almost progress-less due to weather. Any way, keep up the good work, interested in how the rear lights will work out, and if you don't mind I will be stealing your Halfords trim idea for the headlight covers.

Hi. What I did was cut the back of the headlight bowl off. Also a little bit of angle grinding(but be careful it is classed as chassis modification)

Thanks for the rapid reply, did you take pics of that part of your build drum? Would bashing it in be an acceptable solution :0
29 Jul 2016, 8:04pm
Sorry no picks.
Only had to cut back third off of the plastic bowl.
The back of the bowl doesn't really serve much of a purpose . Just trail and error really, cut a bit, try a fit, cut a bit and so on.
It will fit.

How much did you angle grind off the chassis?
29 Jul 2016, 8:52pm
As little as possible, just the corner

Does anyone know if its possible to get mx5 4x100 to vw 5x100 adapter spacers?
I need a pair for the rear
4 Aug 2016, 11:51pm
Hmm as they were designed for 4x100 vw, won't they be for bolts rather than studs? From the hub side?

Mate the lights look great! I'm genuinely shocked, they look perfect for it.

Aw thanks dude, like I said a lot of trouble, and I'm still working on the space behind for them, but there's potential :)
