spot lights have just arrived as always could not wait to fit them bit of a brucy bonus they worked first time. must have dune something right when I made up the wiring. also fitted a new crash bar,I don't like not having anything to protect the rad and me come to that.
problem with waiting for the dvla to get the paper work sorted is I am already changing things on the car and its never been off the bloody drive. lol
so this weekend made a boot stay to hold it up its hit me on the head to many times, fitted fog and reverse light flush mounted
eBay item number:23161552530 so they dont look to stand out.
fitted door rubbers eBay item number:121432862268 good stuff for a change also cut out all the vents and fitted this stuff eBay item number:251831841139 good stiff mesh not the fly screen stuff. gone a bit old school and added the AA badge on the grill and I must admit I nicked the road runner badge idea from Garry aka NED but I could not resist it.

well today I got the go from the DVLA the car is now fully road legal as a kit car. I could not call it a Italia 250 swb because that was the next speck up from my car so its a BMW tribute 250. I have waited that long and filled out that many bits of paper.I would have called it a bloody vesper if they were happy to register it.
test drive was sort of ok until I worked out one of the wire wheels is slightly buckled above 30 its ok under its got a clunk so back on ebay we go
just (maybe) a small point - the 'tripods' on the headlights look to be in different positions........ are the beams set correctly, or do they need rotating some?
My first road going mobile was a vespa pk50 at the the age of 16! My dad was a mod so thats what i got. Now im older and ive moved on to the lambretta's (i think for more style however they are a lot more un-reliable)
Mines the stage 5 tuned racer on the right lambretta gp225. The other 2 classics are my dads. 1 vespa special and 1 mk1 li lambretta
have to admit I did nick the road runner idea from NeD off the forum, sorted my clunky wheel today the spinner hub was just off centre by a few mill. took the car for a good blast the 2.2 engine can really fly when you put your foot down. only new addition fitted a reverse camera with a drop down screen off the inner roof works a treat.
have a look at the start of the build thread its just a nut and bolt then a bent wire that goes around the bolt and hooks through the door handle.
the ones I used are afla 156. andy
