Phil - Very nice bike.

I can almost smell the 'Castrol R' from here. :icon_wink:

This is the only other old racing photo I have scanned in...

1989 - Mallory Park hairpin.

It was about this time I remembered drum brakes were not as good as discs.

Cheers, Paul. :)

I like the Gilera, my most modern machine is a 1992 Gilera CX 125. No learner limit in Italy back then, it's nigh on 30bhp and 105mph.

As well as quite a few Morinis, I've got a 1956 Bianchi Tonale 175 OHC (and a 1954 Cervino) waiting in line for a rebuild.

There's one non Italian in the stable, a French Favor 350 from 1929.

Mansfield at Cadwell on my 77 Morini Sport.

Single shocks Front and Rear?
Did you ever race along side the Bantam Racing Club back then?

Yes, the front end is built like an aircraft nose wheel.

I don't race, but I do attend the Morini Riders Club track day most years. I'm one of the faster 350/rider combinations, partly because I'm prepared to rev higher. I also have a reputation of liking the wet.

I did and back in 1989 they were still starting races using dead engine push starts!
Thankfully they finally allowed clutch starts in 1990!

MoriniMan - Nice bikes.
My Triumph photo is also taken on the Mountain at Cadwell.
Only did the full circuit once on a track day, always raced on the shorter Clubman circuit.
