Small matter of all the isocyanate fumes for diy'ers, though, as you need expensive air fed breathing apparatus to safely spray it. ainkiller:
Earlier this year I had to read up on the Office for National Statistics UK causes of death by category for a work project (don't ask :wacko and in 2010 more than 70 people died in Britain through accidentally inhaling toxic paint fumes
well done Trevor..as a background lurker and blog follower it definately inspires us wannabee's as well as others who may not have quite the speed of your build up

When the Sammio went off for spraying, the engine ran perfectly.
Frustratingly, ever since it came back it wouldn't fire up, and I noticed some crap in the fuel filter. I ran the fuel line straight into a petrol can with fresh fuel in it - but it made no difference.
Next I checked I had a spark - and I did.
Next I checked the fuel pump was working - again, nothing wrong found here.
Lastly I stripped the Stromberg carburettor down, found nothing wrong, (and learnt a lot about the way it works, complete with the diaphragm and "plunger"), but when I put it back together the car started!
What a relief. I had visions of this turning into a total nightmare trying to find the fault.

PS - will get photos uploaded this weekend when I can use a relatives PC. (Still posting this from my phone) The Sammio does look good though, now got the headlights and front indicators fitted, AND the numbers 48 on the front and both sides.
It looks REALLY good matey! Although i can't believe that you've got this done by someone else and you're missing out on all of the wonderful fulling and sanding and filling and sanding and painting and sanding and....
fair enough, i forgot to ask, which day are you going down on?
There is still a slim chance that i'll be done in time (assuming i can finish the bonnet mods and re-paint this weekend and then that it goes through the MOT first time!), in which case i'll let the weather decide. Otherwise i'll be taking the sensible girly car and i don't mind which day i go on
It's Ford Colorado Red, a current 2011 colour used on the Fiesta and Focus.
I spent a whole day driving round different car dealerships trying to find the right colour, it was easy to find orangy reds and muddy brown reds, and this was the only shade that was a true "fire engine red"

When you said you were painting the car in such a modern colour I was surprised but its just perfect.
Im sure it will get lots of attention when you take it out.
