I remember seeing a dark blue Cobra replica at a show a few years ago. It was a really well built Dax but it was really grubby. It had probably done a few thousand miles without being cleaned, a really weathered look , stone chips and road grime etc etc. It had obviously been driven hard come rain or sun.
To be honest, it was one of the best looking Cobra's at the show compared to most of the others which were totally immaculate.
Thing is you've gone to all that trouble to add 60's detailing....it's a small step! Richard does the hub adaptors....
Next owner? Selling?
I'm seeing Richard this weekend if the weather is ok, so will talk to him about it them.
Everything is for sale, but for now we (kids and the missus!) are enjoying the use of it, we've had some great weekends weather wise. Not sure what I could easliy replace it with that would get the same experience with, other than that GT-40 on the other thread!
Wires would be the finishing touch.

I don't have any problems keeping the wires clean. I have a retractable hose in the front of the garage, after a good run I just give the wheels a quick rinse, takes a couple of minutes and no effort.Evry now and a gain I use snow foam on them, again takes a few minutes and no effort. I put the hose in for my motorcycles as I really can't be bothered cleaning them, giving them a rinse after use means I only give them a proper clean every couple of years.
I agree, I was reading over the wheel evolution yesterday. There is quite a price hike for the "authentic" look. Unless you go the route of painted second hand wires, in which case, infrequent cleaning may be an enhancement.
Price is an issue but not the main one, will consider, no rush though.
In an ideal world the list of things still on the to do list would include:
Wire wheels
Period seats
Dash exchange
Rear mud guards
Exhaust cover
Snap Exhaust tips
Emergency stop pull to Drivers side front vent
Red light to top of rear passenger wing
Chrome jacking point covers
However in my humble opinion none of the above would increase my enjoyment of it any more than I already have in any significant way.

And now I am smitten. I had no idea kit cars could look this good I still thought they were odd looking things based on a Beetle with no window mechanisms.
Well thank you for all the videos and a brilliant build thread, and also what a wonderful helpful community everyone is on here.
Now my next toy will be a kit. I'm sold. Hope to have my own build thread on here soon. All the best

Went to Ferrari fun meeting in Reading this morning and caught up with Richard from Nubodi in his No. 7 car, took some pictures of the 2 cars together, both with the racing livery on. Left about 11:30 to try and get home before the rain came.
The No. 7 car is also a 3.0i with straight through pipes all the way from the manifold and mine is straight through from the CAT and the difference in noise is tremendous.
Having studied those pictures last night (jealous much) I reckon your beauty could do with a smaller number plate on the front. The plate on the No.7 doesn't detract from the beautiful design
The small plate on no7 does look much more Italian but bear in mind both cars are running traditional illegal black and silver plates. I have found in the past that if the plates are on an oldish car, the right size, font and spacing they will leave you alone. As soon as you start miss spacing or going too small you become a target. Same applies if you put a black and silver plate on an obviously new car.
I always put smaller plates on my motorcycles but stick to yellow and black unless they are an old Triumph or Norton.
I've had some magnetic vinyl Mille Miglia numbers made for my Z300S by sending a reworked pic to Vistaprint. They are a touch small but stick well to the steel doors!!!
I also have a set of classic Italian style number plates which only appear at shows- never on the road.
Or maybe drill hole and bond in place?
